Itinerary

Your enchanting felucca adventure begins at the Aswan Corniche, where our experienced Nubian captain welcomes you aboard a traditional wooden sailboat adorned with colorful fabrics. As you settle onto comfortable cushions, the triangular sail catches the wind, and your journey into tranquility begins.

The felucca glides silently past Elephantine Island, revealing ancient ruins that whisper stories of Egypt’s past. Your captain navigates around Kitchener’s Island (Botanical Gardens), where exotic plants from across continents create a floating paradise in the middle of the Nile.

Continue sailing toward the magnificent Aga Khan Mausoleum, its elegant architecture standing proudly on the western bank. This vantage point offers perfect photo opportunities of the striking contrast between lush greenery and golden desert sands.

The journey takes you to the First Cataract, where granite boulders emerge from the water, creating natural rapids. Here, your captain will demonstrate traditional sailing techniques passed down through generations.

As you circle back, experience a magical sunset that transforms the Nile into a ribbon of gold. The call to prayer echoes across the water, mingling with bird songs as Nubian villages prepare for evening.

Refreshments of hibiscus tea and seasonal fruits enhance this authentic experience, allowing you to savor local flavors while floating on Egypt’s lifeblood. Throughout the journey, your captain shares Nubian folklore and points out hidden gems along the shoreline that only locals know.
